Yarn Planning

The key to large online yarn orders is getting home before the husband realizes there is a package at the door, and then hiding it in the closet.

Latest arrivals are already spoken for!

For the Uxbridge Cardigan I have been dying to make as soon as I lay eyes on it in the 2011 Winter Knitscene, this nice yellow DK:

ok, so I have like 4x this amount. I love the yellow!

For the accent work on my latest yoke jacket, some white:

This will make my 4th color and 5th order of Valley Yarn's Greenfield...

And for my upcoming ninja turtle and R2D2 beanie action, the requisite colors:

  1. I nee dot warn you about the Valley Yarns Huntington... you absolutely need to wet block your swatch! I knitted a sweater in this, and I swatched, but didn't wet block.. then when I was finished, the entire sweater grew about 4 times bigger, and so much longer... it was a disaster. I don't want that to happen to you! definitely wet block your swatch, you'll get much better results.

    1. OOooh thanks for the tip - that would have been tragic! I haven't worked with the Huntington yet and definitely wouldn't have thought to wet block. Nice save! Thank you.
